'''予人生出來茲魚'''（學名：_ Leedsichthys problematicus _）是'''字茲魚屬'''（學名：_ Leedsichthys _）唯一的物種佮模式種；啊若這个屬是一款已經滅絕的真大中生代魚脯魚厚骨魚目的成員，生活佇一億六千五百萬至一億五千兩百萬年前的被羅記中晚期的海洋，一直到白堊紀結束。𪜶代表著真骨類的一个早期分支。

本物種頭一个被發現的遺骸佇十九世紀的時被認出，予人認為是有史以來上大的硬骨魚類。佇這馬魚類中佮利茲魚上接近的是弓鰭魚，雖然這兩種魚仔之間的關係猶原距離真遠。利茲魚的名稱意為「字茲的魚」，因為化石收集家 Alfred Nicholson Leeds 啊若一八八九年佇英格蘭彼得伯勒發現伊的化石得著名。
利茲魚的化石會當佇英格蘭的卡洛夫階、德國佮法國北部、智利的牛津階佮法國的啟莫里階遮的所在發現。一九九九年，佇智利的一改發現，學者一度掠準發現本屬的第二个物種，予人曾將之號名做 _ Leedsichthys notocetes _，但是發現這个「新物種」的遺骸無法佮原有的遺骸分辨，所以認為這改所發現的是亦是原來的物種。

本屬物種的化石誠難以辨認和描述，因為𪜶的化石足破的：其遺骸中有袂少部份由軟骨組成，這軟骨攏無法度閣變做化石；若佇咧幾若改遮的碎片被錯誤認為劍龍亞目的恐龍遺骸。所以，利茲咧發現伊的化石後，以 _ problematicus _ 做利茲魚的種小名。

==體型==

雖然古生物學家已經發現幾具利茲魚的化石，但是完整的龍骨化石猶未發現，所以古生物學家真歹確定伊的大細，亞瑟 ・ 史密斯 ・ 伍德沃德（Arthur Smith Woodward）佇一八八九年描述利茲魚的標本，閣提伊的尾佮另外一種厚骨魚仔 Hypsocormus 較後，估計伊的長度大約是九公尺（三十英呎）。 古生物學家 D . M . Martill 佇一九八六年提伊拄發現的字茲魚化石佮其他厚骨魚類互相比較，猶毋過因為這無咧揣定定，所以利茲魚推斷出來的體型大小範圍相當的廣。最近古生物學家根據歷史上所發現的化石，佮古生物學家佇倚近彼得伯勒惠特西（Whittlesey）所發現閣較完整的彼款本來估計的結果攏支持亞瑟史密斯伍德沃德彼个時陣所估計的結果－九公尺至十公尺（三十至三十三英呎）。 近來古生物學家用樹輪年代學來研究利茲魚的骨骸，結果顯示𪜶講欲發甲這个長度需要開二十一至二五年。根據其他的本進行的研究顯示利茲魚上大會當長甲超過十六公尺（五十三英尺）， 對而且推算這款魚比現時的海翁閣較重的結論，是無合理的推論。

佮這馬上大的魚仔海翁佮鯊仝款，利茲魚的食物來源是浮游動物，並且用伊的喙佮鰓對水中共浮動物予過濾出來。保存在倫敦英國自然歷史博物館的 P . 六千九百二十四項本顯示，利茲魚遭受著龍亞目的趨齒龍攻擊。這个空喙尾仔收束，這顯示利茲魚會當閃避牛津黏塗組（Oxford Clay）中的被鋪紀掠食者，真有可能是因為𪜶有足勇的尾仔。

==大眾文化==

利茲魚出現佇二空空三年英國 BBC 製作的《海底霸王》內底，一隻利茲魚予人地杜鱷、弓鮫獵殺，尾仔去予一隻滑齒龍刣死，變成一陣滑齒龍的大餐。
