星牙龍屬

星牙龍屬（學名：_ Astrodon _）是種大型草食性恐龍，屬於杜跤杜目，是腕龍的近親，生活當咧白堊紀早期的美國東部。根據地層所以菌粉型態的年代測定，發現星牙龍是生活佇阿普第階到阿爾比階之間，離這馬差不多一億千兩萬年前。成年的星牙龍估計身長差不多十五分二到十八學三公尺長，頭殼會當攑懸到九分一公尺懸。

去發現佮物種

星喙龍的化石干焦兩个喙齒，發現佇美國馬里蘭州別登堡附近，屬於阿倫德爾組（Arundel Formation）， 並且一八五九年由克里斯多福 ・ 強森（Christopher Johnson）所講的、號名。但是強森號名的時陣無共加上種小名，所以佇一八六五年，約瑟夫 ・ 萊迪（Joseph Leidy）號名星牙龍的模式種作強森星牙龍（_ Astrodon johnstoni _）， 種名是以強森為名。

佇一八八八年，奧塞內爾 ・ 查利斯 ・ 馬啥（Othniel Charles Marsh）將一寡發現佇阿倫德爾組的一寡骨頭，號名做隱儒邊空龍（_ Pleurocoelus nanus _）佮懸邊空龍（_ P . altus _）。 但是一九二一年，男爾斯 ・ 懷特尼 ・ 吉爾摩爾（Charles W . Gilmore）提出𪜶應該是屬於星牙龍的，肯尼思 ・ 卡彭特（Kenneth Carpenter）佮 Tidwell 嘛支持這个觀點。趣味的是，星牙龍的大部份骨頭攏是幼齒的。肯尼思 ・ 卡彭特及 Tidwell 認為馬啥物所號名的被儒邊空龍和高爿空龍，應該是星牙龍的無仝成長階段。

佇一九九八年，星牙龍被選定做馬里蘭州的州恐龍。
