刀鋩角緣

「刀鋩角緣」（Edguy）是一个來自德國富爾達的力量金屬樂團。

沿革

刀鋩邊緣樂團由一陣十四歲的學生 Tobias Sammet、Jens Ludwig、Dirk Sauer 以及 Dominik Storch 佇一九九二年成立，團名《Edguy》其實是𪜶當時的數學老師 Edgar 先生的號伊。一直到一九九八年 Tobias Exxel 加入的時，𪜶猶原無 Bass 手，主唱 Sammet 彼个時陣用鍵盤出來做 Bass 的旋律。

錄兩塊 Demo 後，𪜶佇一九九五年得著 AFM Records 一紙合約。上頭仔的兩塊專輯賣無啥理想，但是一九九八年的《_ Vain Glory Opera _》（顛覆歌劇）專輯是𪜶的關鍵點。了後𪜶閣創作了兩張專輯，德國廠牌 Nuclear Blast 佇咧二〇〇四年共𪜶簽咧。

佇咧二〇〇一、二〇〇二之間，Tobias Sammet 發行了伊的個人作品《_ Avantasia _》（金屬歌劇：七封印傳說），參與的無欠缺真濟出名音樂人，無庸置疑是一齣成功的金屬歌劇。

樂風

《 Edguy》以簡潔明緊的旋律配主唱 Sammet 的這个高音域，親像典型的歐洲力量金屬。𪜶的歌詞不時都愛足隱喻、暗示著一寡哲學抑是社會的主題：順服（_ The Headless Game _、_ Mysteria _、_ King of Fools _）、教會的命令（_ The Kingdom _、_ Theater of Salvation _）佮現代文明的危險（_ Navigator _、_ The Devil and the Savant _），做表現遮的主題的時陣，《 Edguy》使用超自然的、神祕學的詞句，猶毋過嘛有一寡較輕鬆、詼諧的歌曲（_ Das Reh _、_ Save Us Now _、_ Lavatory Love Machine _、_ Life And Times Of A Bonus Track _）。刀鋩角緣樂團無自許任何意識形態，Tobias Sammet 是按呢講的：「咱無政治，嘛無宗教色彩；上無佇阮的歌曲當中，無明確的訊息教你愛按怎想代誌。」（We are not political and we are not religious ; at least there is no key message in our songs telling you what to think in terms of anything）。《Edguy》仝時陣嘛佇咧大部份的作品內底採用較長的史詩式章節。

_ Hellfire Club _ revealed Edguy's interest in experimenting within music by integrating an orchestra into the production . The album featured a variation on Edguy's style , with a less grandiose , more traditional 重金屬音樂 approach being embraced . Their latest album , _ Rocket Ride _ , features even less symphonic and 力量金屬 elements , and is arguably more oriented towards 硬式搖滾 .

Additional Information

Edguy toured with the well known 力量金屬 band 龍族樂團 in early 二千空六 after the release of the latter's _ Inhuman Rampage _ album .

In July 二千空六 , Edguy played at the Metalcamp festival in Slovenia , where they played a joke on fellow Germans Kreator , who played next . Tobias asked the audience to do him a favour : Once Kreator came on stage and played one song , the crowd was to start singing " Oh lay , oh lay " . Not only did the crowd do this , but they continued to sing this following almost every song played by Kreator , prompting Mille Petrozza to stop and ask , " Is this _ still _ about the Edguy thing ? "
